Man has always learnt from nature. At Astro Kids, this is the deciding philosophy that drives the interest of children, parents, teachers as well as administrators.

When you walk through the portals of Astro Kids, you are entering into a world that encompasses this maxim to the hilt. Our institution stands on 2 acres of free open spaces and lush green lawns to do immense justice to a child’s inherent love of nature. Their time at Astro Kids is a joyous fellowship peppered with songs, gardening, nature walks, art and craft, splashes in the pool and care for animals.

There are no typical days at Astro Kids. However, every day includes a morning welcome, learning activities, outside play and snacks. A week is rhythmically structured to assist the overall development of every individual child, to nurture their growth as the future leaders of the nation.

It is our earnest endeavour that we give all kids a secure and nurturing environment. It ranges from recruiting ideal staff to the basic design structure of our building, which includes low walls, plenty of secure exits and a free air-flowing floor plan. We believe that a proper child teacher ratio can enhance a child’s willingness to learn and interact with his peers and his elders and instills in them the willingness to explore.

The environment provides opportunities for the young child to engage in developmentally appropriate activities that are as much fun as they are learning experiences. Each classroom has only safe, age appropriate materials that will keep children interested in their learning. A planned curriculum is integrated into the discovery centers in the classrooms that stimulates, encourages and rewards. Self-expression, self-discipline and self-confidence are weaved into every lesson to lay equal emphasis on the development of the head, heart and limbs. The curricula also involves outings and excursions once a month and is related to a festival/theme set for the month by the Chairperson Mr. Rohit Chopra.

The management believes that core human values of spirituality, patriotism, nationalism and idealism are central to the development of any child irrespective of all other factors. These values, therefore, are reiterated through awareness activities like story telling and singing of the National Anthem. We ensure that a child’s initial grounding in social etiquette start with being aware of the virtues of sacrifice, empathy and being respectful to elders.

The school shows the way in keeping apart a part of the fees, which then goes towards the upliftment of the underprivileged in association with relevant NGOs. The school participates wholeheartedly and donates generously.

The school’s philosophy is to prepare the young children for their generation by teaching them academic skills as well as strong ethical values.
