Chief Minister Mrs. Sheila Dikshit sharing Colours and Green ambition with AstroKids

The tiny tots of Astro Kids ELC were given a real treat when they were given an opportunity to celebrate the festival of colours with our Honourable Chief Minister Mrs. Sheila Dikshit at her residence on 17th March. The children were dressed in cute lehngas and kurta pyjamas and waited very patiently for the elegant lady.

She greeted the children charmingly and accepted their shy offering of flowers graciously. She made the youngest baby Sanyukta, sit in her lap and allowed the children to put a teeka of red gulal on her forehead. The Chairman Mr. Rohit Chopra’s daughter, Adya Katyayani presented a portrait made by the Art teacher to Mrs. Dikshit.

She asked Ojasvi, “Who am I?” and he did us proud when he answered “ The Chief Minister – Mrs. Sheila Dikshit”. The Director Mrs. Malthi Chopra told Mrs. Dikshit about the kind of activities carried out in the school and also about the school’s contribution towards the upliftment of the underprivileged children from Tihar Jail and of broken homes. Feeling pleasantly surprised , the honourable CM complimented the staff on their effective and innovative methods of dealing with the children, as it was quite a task to keep a sense of order among the little ones. She offered sweets and chocolates to all the children, which they enjoyed with gusto.

Since it was a working day and the CM had a tough day in front of her, the children reluctantly took leave, but only after thanking Mrs. Dikshit politely for the precious time she spent with them.
