ELC celebrated Independence Day in the school.55
Dove were released to mark the Independence
of India.The tricolour was hoisted by Mr.
Anand Prakash, Addl. Commissioner M.C.D.(Health
and Education). |

AUGUST
Janamashthmi, the birth of natkhat Gopal, was
celebrated at Astro Kids ELC with reverence and
revelry. Mr. Rohit Manchanda, Councillor
in MCD, graced the auspicious occasion.

SEPTEMBER
ASTRO KIDS in association with
the Lion’s Club, Vasant Kunj held a Baby
Show Cum Talent Contest on the grounds
of Astro Kids. Mrs. Rachna Pandit, Headmistress(Now
Vice Pricipal) of DPS, Vasant Kunj was the Chief
Guest. |

OCTOBER
Dussehra
The Navratras were celebrated
as a prelude to Dussehra in Astro Kids
ELC.
The little children of Astro Kids who came dressed
in traditional outfits celebrated Dussehra with
aplomb. Ravana was burnt in the fine tradition
to mark the victory of Good over Evil.
Diwali
Diwali, the Festival of Lights was celebrated
at Astro Kids and the children had great fun firing
a few crackers and having a party.

WILD-LIFE
CONSERVATION WEEK : 8 – 14 OCTOBER
The children of Astro Kids were
made aware of the importance of wild-life and the
need to protect animals from extinction. |

HALLOWEEN
30th
October
Halloween, was enjoyed by the children of Astro
Kids ELC who came dressed as Ghosts and
Ghouls. A pumpkin completed the ghoulish
picture. |

Children’s
Day -
14th November
Children’s Day was celebrated by Astro
Kids ELC, who put up a stall at Father
Agnel’s School to help underprivileged
children from broken homes and slums. |

CHRISTMAS
24th December
The little children of Astro Kids ELC came dressed
as angels and fairies on Christmas. The children
had Christmas cake and
the school presented each child a gift given by
their very own Santa. |

LOHRI
13th January
A bonfire marked the celebration
of Lohri and the children relished the warmth which
the flames generated as they listened to a story
and ate popcorn. |

JANUARY – REPUBLIC DAY
Republic Day was celebrated
at Astro Kids ELC. The
flag was hoisted in front of a model of India
Gate in the school. |

Valentine’s
Day
The day cupid strikes also marks the time when we
show our parents how much we love them. Keeping
up the tradition, the children of Astro
Kids ELC made cards for their parents.The
children had a small party and danced to the tune
of western music. |

– 12th March – ROAD SAFETY WEEK
Astro Kids ELC taught the children
safety rules to commemorate the Road Safety Week.Children
were taught the road signals and did a skit on
traffic rules. |

Holi
Festival 17th March
The
Festival Of Colours
was celebrated by the children of Astro Kids ELC
and they had a lot of fun spraying each other
with colour. To make the occasion even more memorable
they visited the Honourable Chief Minister Mrs.
Sheila Dikshit and enjoyed Holi with
her. |

APRIL – WORLD HEALTH DAY
- Good Health is important for
everyone and the children were examined
by a Pediatrician for any medical problems
and the parents were advised accordingly. |

| Easter
Day - The children of Astro Kids
ELC were given chocolate Eggs on the occasion
of Easter.

APRIL – WORLD EARTH DAY
- In keeping with the call for peace and unity and
the need to protect our Earth from pollutants,
the students of Astro Kids ELC
painted the Earth on Paper Bags to say “NO”
to Plastic Bags. |

| 23rd
APRIL – WORLD BOOK DAY - To
inculcate the importance of the written word, the
children of Astro Kids exchanged books and
were also presented books by the school. |

| Bhai
Dooj - On Bhai Dooj the little
girls put Teeka on the foreheads of their
little ‘brothers’ at Astro Kids. |
 |
| Eid
Festival
–
Eid was celebrated to foster the spirit of brotherhood
amongst the children of Astro Kids. |

| Rakhi
- Rakhi, the silken thread avowing
everlasting love and support between a brother
and sister was celebrated at Astro Kids
ELC. |
